In an effort to model healthy behaviors for each other and for the community in which it serves, Mitchell County Hospital is a smoke-free environment for its employees, patients, and visitors. Mitchell County Hospital does not allow smoking (tobacco products or e-cigarettes) anywhere except designated smoking area. Visitors, Patients, Employees and Contractors are not allowed to smoke inside any building and are strongly discouraged from smoking outside the hospital and its owned or leased properties. Your physician and nurse may provide assistance to you if you anticipate difficulty in not smoking during hospitalization.
